    Just to cheer you up, we are currently paying $1.04 per litre for gas (and there are approximately four litres in a gallon)

    Ouch! Well, gas prices tend to be lower in my area than the country at large. Lowest price in San Francisco is $3.25 today. Honestly, I thought it would be higher.
