Nope, that's a 1, as signified by the 1 in the corners. And why don't you 'mericans put some colour on the bills so that we Canadians can tell one from another and not accidentally tip 100%.

For the life of me I don't know, Carolyn. Our new fives, tens and twenties have color, but they aren't nearly as pretty as yours. And why, why, WHY we don't use coins instead of paper for one and two dollar denominations is beyond me.

You get "5" stars for walking away from it! :)

I recently found a five-dollar bill in the hallway at work. It absolutely, positively, (I asked all who were working that day), did not belong to any of my coworkers.

After returning to work, following 3 days off, I was sadly disappointed to learn that "no one" knew anything about what happened to that $5 bill...It just "magically" vanished from an area that only employees are able access.

Pissed me off, too--b/c I felt strongly that it actually belonged to a very poverty-level living family member of either 1 of 2 very poor patients we had on the unit then.

Think what pissed me off about it though, more than anything, was how nonchalant my fellow coworkers' replies &/or attitudes were to my inquiries about that money, when I'd returned to work...everyone acted so non-caring about it that it put me in a negative frame of mind for the next couple of days at work.

Frustrating...
