When you go to an arts festival of any kind in any location, you absolutely have to buy three things, otherwise your experience is considered null and void. This items are non-negotiable and listed in order of importance, as dictated by the 8-year-old:
1. Face painting
2. Earrings
3. Kettle corn ->

No way! Kettle corn is WAY more important than either Earrings (even at a Highland Games) or face painting.
